Turkey to boost B20’s visibility during G20 term

Turkey aims to transform B20, the business branch of the G20, into a much more influential economic platform during the country’s presidency of the multi-national body.

This was the claim from the head of B20 Turkey, Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu.

During a meeting to promote and discuss B20 Turkey’s agenda with ambassadors from G20 countries, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that B20 could play a decisive role in addressing global economic challenges where other inter-governmental efforts failed.

“Global challenges require global solutions. G20’s importance shows up in this sense because the G20 is the most supreme consultative platform to address the global challenges,” Hisarcıklıoğlu said.

“Perhaps it is the only platform where we can take decisions regarding the global economy in a fast and efficient way. So, as the Turkish business world, we attach great importance to Turkey’s B20 term presidency.”
