Capital Markets Working Group
Corporate Governance Association of Turkey aims to monitor capital markets rules and regulations, submit comments for new laws and contribute to the realization of regulations with corporate governance best practices in mind. In line with this aim, the Capital Markets Working Group prepares comments for submission, holds Agenda Meetings on the current capital markets hot topics and contributes to the growth of sector professionals through effective trainings.
BIST Corporate Governance Index (XKURY) is the index in which the companies that apply Corporate Governance Principles are included. Corporate Governance Index started to be calculated in 2007. As of April 2018 there are 51 companies in The Index. TKYD continues developing new projects and cooperation to provide awards for companies which promote corporate governance practices on the behalf of investors.
Mission:
To strengthen relations between regulators and companies, taking an effective part on corporate governance regulations and communicating current issues.
Aim:
Preparing assessments for CMB regulations and support the stakeholders in understanding the soul of law and in improving the sector.

Board of Directors Working Group
Board of Directors has a critical role regarding the implementation and the supervision of corporate governance. Corporate Governance Association of Turkey, thus, aims to contribute on that process through its activities, training programs and seminars.
To raise awareness about the position of the Board Secretary who is responsible for controlling the compatibility of company organs and authorization with laws and the internal documents of the company is another aim of the working group. Board Secretary has a crucial impact on the process of developing the fields of corporate governance activities, especially with the new Turkish law. Therefore, the working group also attempts to organize various panels, seminars and training programs by inviting instructors specialized in this area.
